Alexander Velky ...Has Doubts - Most Of Us Are Han Chinese

Most Of Us Are Han Chinese We are all homo sapiens; We are all mammals, too. We are all children of rape, and Born by parents loving true. Bred by thoroughly unseemly Laws and ordered to belong To a nation or a notion: Each as changeable as song. We are all half-caste mongrels, Be we Aryan or Jew; But we are none of us belonging To a creed one could call 'new'. We are identikit constructions: Just our defects make us strong. We are left to fend for ourselves: Only right when we are wrong. We are not all Palestinian, Or Haitian, Irish, Black; But we are all Jews and Germans, As Crisis said, some time back: We are Nazis, cripples, Gypsies, Communists and GI Joes, Wearing different fitted uniforms For every West-End show. We are scum and we are coming To enslave by some decree, Because nobody wants to pay For what they can get for free. We are all the persecutor; We are all the victim, too: Given half the chance I'll persecute The victim trapped in you; I will not accept that evil Is a stronger force than good, Or that picking teams in conflicts can Possibly stem the the flow of blood; That the land that we live on Is ever anything more than leased; That two genocides can somehow Hope to make a peace; Or that innocence can be proven In the face of presumed guilt; Or that any national standard beats A well-stitched patchwork quilt: But we are not all untermenschen Hibakusha Japanese: We are Brahma, we are Shiva: We are woods and we are trees. We are uniquely placed to comment ...
